Biggest mono amp possible for my car

I have a 2016 honda accord sport sedan. As of now there are no HO alternators for this car so I'll be running of the stock alternator (120 amp) and upgrading the stock bci 51r battery to an agm and doing a big 3, also not interested in any backup batteries at the moment. Currently have a 520.4 running some focal auditors components up front and coaxials in the rear. Looking into running a solo sundown X 12 or even a Z 12 in a ported box per sundowns specs. Just wanted to see how big of an amp it will tolerate without electrical problems as this will make my decision on what sub to get, thanks.

Depending on size of your agm id be comfortable with 1.5-2k

Thanks for the reply. My stock battery has a bci 51r so i plan on getting the xs battery d5100r rated at 3100 max amps as that should fit in the factory location im assuming.

If the D5100 is your only battery that you are going to be using I would say a 1200 watt amp on top of the 4 channel that you are currently running would be a safe assumption. Any more power than that and you are going to get the amp into clipping much faster and risk damage to it.

You will know real guick when your lights are dimming , Through a couple batteries in the trunk.

No offense but 120amps is max on that alt , You have to share that with your A/C, heat, radio, cooling fan and everything else that's running your car

Pffft, I've ran 1500 plus a 50x 4 on 2 g34's and a 60 amp alt. You would be amazed at how little current you draw on music when you don't clip.

And they still would be even with an ho alt, bulbs of that style are greatly affected by any change in voltage, even a little change.
