I know I'm not very active on this site, but I wanted to share a little news I got recently. Every year I have to see a cardiologist to make sure my heart is doing fine. Well I was just at my DR. and he is wanting to do a cardiac catherization, and a transesophageal echo (cath. they go through the main artery in my leg and the transesophageal echo they go down my throat so they can see what's going on with my heart. From what I told him I've been experiencing in the past year and what he saw in my echo (different kind of echo than what I'll be going through) he's thinking I may need another heart surgery. These tests will tell him what exactly is going on. I'll have these tests done in two weeks. I hope I wont need surgery anytime soon, but if so then so be it. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Good luck man, are you have issues with arteries being occluded? Surgery sucks but I would say it's better to catch it now than if you were to go unchecked and have a heart attack and be going to the cath lab emergently.

No there are no problems with my arteries being occluded. I have a bad heart and have ever since birth. The aorta tube is narrower than normal (it was enlarged, but they think it's shrinking a little bit). Also my last heart surgery they replaced 2 valves, 1 is leaking again. Nothing severe but with the symptoms I've been having the DR was very concerned.

That sucks, best of luck on your surgery
