Forevrbumpn Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 Neo is expensive, but I did a special order one time to a magnet company for a 1" x7"OD ring magnet with a 4" ID for like $180, and like $50 for prototyping charge, so $1500 would be a cost to the consumer I would think, actual factory to wholesaler cost would be something more realistic like $500-600 just a guess if that was solid neo Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. You are looking at enough strength there to pick a car up...and throw it. Isn't just a 'special order' piece... Totally pointless to do something like that for a woofer, there are MANY other ways of getting high motor strength (if needed) rather than turning to Neo... I got into subwoofers last week How many watts can mine handle? They said the 6x9 had the 4awg direct connect wires going to the coil to keep the resistance down...but i duno..here's a pic..what you think? more magnet more better right?
