Should I install windows 10 on my 240 gig sd or my hard drive? SSD. Use your SSD for your OS and all program you will use on a daily basis. SSD are much faster than an HDD. So what ever you want to run at it's fastest, install and run off your SSD. Keep all things you just want to start on the HDD.
