I understand what i want is a bit insane but yes i would like to maintain cone control throughout the subsonic frequency range rather than normal music or average lows. i am in pursuit of the Low Lows. i talked to a guy who has a single nsv3 in a trunk that did really well with his low tuned build and had roughly 4-5 in per square foot with no port noise

guessing that guy was Joonas?

I know im risking the money and time of building a box that ends up wasted, theres always a risk. I am going to go for it though ive seen some pretty nice setups around 2k tuned ultra low do pretty well. i want to feel it. theres no way im not trying it lol. i just want to have some help from people who have done it before or atleast know how to do it so i can have a better chance at success

Your not the first to play low. Just saying. With 2 12's, i woulndnt expect anything that earth shattering.... I mean, if you just want your subs to move around 18hz, ... cool But its not like youll be the first by any means.....With 2 12's, trunk, low power,... it wont do much but move some things. But good luck, have fun.

It's true that the lower you tune the less port area you need. However you don't have to completely guess what will work. Box simulation software can at least help you make an educated decision. I'd be happy to check port velocity for you if you tell me what you have in mind.

What's the max dimensions of your space? Situations where ports will have to be too long to be feasible is where transmission lines can work well.

yes joonas

lol an i know im not the first just i got the idea from other people who have done it and am currently asking for help from other people who have done it, although its not the most popular tuning areas in the car audio world and not much information on it so i figure if i can help by sharing my experience it might be benificial for somebody else.

That'll be a system even a deaf person can enjoy huh? The music is more "felt" in ur body and chest than "heard" in ur ears. That'd be pretty cool to demo. No musical sound just low tone vibrations.

I dunno. Last 2 builds ive been apart of killed lows, (new one plays 18hz all day, full tilt) and will rape your face off in the 40's. Peaks at 40 on the ole mic.Sounds good on slowed, boosted, and original recordings. Great band width. My old one smashed 22hz, peaked at 36, and sounded great on music also. Damn near anything i through at it. Demo beasts, for sure, (our preference) but did fine on the meter, and played music great. Struggled on metal and such, but..... i think they both did great. A few members on here have heard both, or know of both,..... and i think they both did/do great for what they are. :unknw:

EDIT- but i hear ya,.. some of them lows, are just kinda a waffling, woof woof sound, moves air, and stuff, and about it..... i hear ya.
