Fluke meters (need help deciding)

Hello everyone. Noob here with a question. So I really don't know much about electricity and want to start learning. I do have a little bump in my truck but plan on getting more quality equipment over time. Anyways I figured as I start running wire and maybe in the end adding a battery or two. As I was looking at Fluke meters I got lost in the 1000s of models and prices from $50 to $10,000. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on which one is decent one to where I won't need to buy another later and that I don't need a Harvard degree to use. Thanks in advance for any input guys.

what is your price range? It really depends on how much you are wanting to spend, what exactly you are wanting to do with it, and how many functions you need. The electricians where I work use the 179, but I&C techs usually need more functions and sometimes more precise measurements, we use the 289.

Good thing about Fluke meters they can be re-calibrated from fluke. Grainger stores can re-calibrate.

Fluke 12e+,

You can find them on ebay cheap,

Its alot of meter for the money and can even be modified to unlock some extra features.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
