Is there any reason this would not be a good sub for my application?

Doing a sealed enclosure and 300 watts RMS in a hatchback. Was thinking maybe 2 of them so they would only get roughly 150 watts each. My goal is SQ and sealed would fit my interests best for it's size and low group delay. Interested in these due to the high sensitivity rating of 105 db but it does not say at what voltage this rating was achieved. Would any other subwoofer perform better or are these optimal for me?

Ah ok. Figured they were too cheap for a reason anyway. Wish I could find some subs that are specifically designed for small sealed only like the old Solobarics were but probably require more power than I want to give.

AA and Sundown SA's run in small sealed enclosures like .4 to .6 each . If money is an issue Sundown E line would be great .

want high sensitivity and small enclosure.  go JBL or Infinity.  they perform very well.  kind of a box brand.  won't get much support around here i'm sure.  but the output of them is great.  i have done several builds with their 8's and it makes people think twice.

Those Pioneer subs are NOT pro audio drivers, those are car audio subs and they would work decently, however I think you can do better for the money.  

Sensitivity measurements are almost useless when it comes to car audio subs.  There isn't a consistent way to measure it between manufacturers and it doesn't account for what the sub will do when its in a box.  

I agree with the recommendation for JBL or Infinity subs, or the Sundown E series would work well.  Really there are lots of good choices to pick from.

Looked up the Reference REF1200S, a shallow mount sub only needs .75 ft3 and 200 watts. But is the output comparable to normal size subs?  I can model it out in Bass Box Pro of course but most all subs measure out very similarly once I account for cabin gain.

The description  says the sub has a whole new louder level , I wander what that sounds like . Lol
