ncc74656
I'm undecided if i am to go with 2 way or 3 way but either way i am having a hard time finding midbass drivers... i want to have 2 SP4 sealed in the back and i think i want at least an 8" midbass in the door. from there i think either a 3.5 or so mid to match OR a 3" and a tweeter for a 3 way. the midrange or mid/tweet would be on axis at the very top of the door next to the window, midbass down in the door (although given the size its really the middle of the door). i can get great deals on the following brands: hertz, audison, mosconi, focal, Rockford, kicker, pioneer, kenwood, jbl, infinity, or illusion audio. I'm open to other brands however. i want midbass that will F*UCKING SLAM, loud as shit but also that can be clean/clear with frequency response. i intend to use Rockford amps on this i think, their P series 1000.2 will be my midbass amp (not ordered yet so may change). who has used large midbass? what speakers have you all had good luck with and have any of you used subs as midbass successfully? 2500 dodge ram 1999 quad cab nothing, gutted
slowfkncar
With a 1000.2 you will probably be looking for a 3 way setup running in passive. They get loud, but not louder than multiple pro audio drivers lol.
ncc74656
i am debating going with active, id like to try out that mosconi aerospace dsp. i have have a driver picked out tho, i cant seem to find any good and beefy mid bass that arnt PA drivers... i did come across this guy however that i think might run decently well as a midbass: https://www.parts-express.com/peerless-by-tymphany-sdf-250f75pr01-06-10-paper-cone-subwoofer--264-1654 nothing, gutted
shizzzon
You stated you want Loud Midbass. I welcome you to venture into our world. Midbass up to 18" in size or Midbass up to 7200w per driver. Dare you try to be loud?

Not everyone here has caught on that you're affiliated with a brazilian manufacturer. alex912005
Hertz SPL Show SV200L Or DD VO-W8 But neither of these would be as loud as multiple drivers. My Build Log
ncc74656
I'm worried if i go multiple drivers that I'm going to have a very hard time setting up proper staging, also that hertz has a very narrow response window nothing, gutted
WalledSonic
What bandpass do you want to use for midbass? How high do you want it to play? My Build Log
ncc74656
i was thinking some where around the 350 to 400 range. I'm a ways off from finalizing build plans tho so that may change nothing, gutted
