i currently have a mofo 124x ( dual 4 ohm) in a 2.5 ft3 slot ported enclosure tuned to 37.5hz. im pushing it with a jbl gto 700,1. rated at 700 rms @2ohms.  i have a generic 300 amp alternator charging a interstate 700cca main battery and 2 sealed high amp hour batteries, generic volt gauge shows almost 1/2 volt drop at high volumes. i know ppl dont think highly of power acoustic subs but my mofo moves ALOT of air, its not real quick or accurate but slams HARD ( resonant freq of my 98 blazer is around 39hz) for the power level and a cheap sub, can actually do hair tricks with windows 1/3 way down. anyways, im impressed with what the mofo can do. im ready to upgrade tho, not really wanting to build another box yet tho. ive got a tiny budget ( $150ish) and have narrowed my search down to a few subs: soundqubed hds3.112, Soundstream r3.12, db drive wdx12 2k, sundown e-12 v.3 and a massive audiuo gtx 124. anyone have any input on any of these subs? im pretty happy with the spl of the mof i have now but sound quality is close to non exestant. any of these have as much or more spl AND some sq to go with it?

2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs   of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz

was gonna buy a new sub in a few days since i have the mofo sold as soon as i decide on a replacement. sticking with an entry level sub because im not going to upgrade my amp any time in the near future and it honestly doesnt have the power to efficiently run much more than an entry level sub.

u think thatd be a better choice than a soundqubed or a massive gtx?  i put 2 soundqubed 15s in a trailblazer with 6 cubes tuned to 32hz and it was way louder than 4 15 setups i have heard. my system gets a solid hour a day damn near wide open pounding ( 15 minutes each way to work , there, home for lunch, back to work and home) and the mofo gets warm when its playing low. never smelled voicce coil tho so everything seems ok. i tuned my amp with an oscilliscope at 40hz so i know im not feeding it distortion. still dont know what the amp is pushing for rms, but 700 ( rated)is VERY conservative.

you can also find skar EVL 12s for under $150 all day long if you look.  there are better subs than the ones you mentioned.  hell you can find an american bass xfl 1244 for $150 if you know where to look.

but yes, the T5 will be perfect in the box you have right now and will make much better use of the power youre feeding it
