Lets Talk About Vintage Car Audio

Recommended Posts

I need the 1988 and 1993 Car Audio & Electronics Buyers Guides.

I'll check this summer when I can get into my closet

Don't forget about PPI's Flat Piston Subwoofers and Art series amps. It was those subs that truley got me into the hobby. Even though I never owned them I use to go to the shop near my house that sold them all the time just so I could go into the demo room and hear them. The guy had like 4 of them in a box in a tiny room and the bass was so amazing. Man I wish I could find those subs.

Dude hellz yea...

Back when Alma Gates was running the flat piston Pro10's (64-10's IIrc) in a red aluminum "wall".

My bro was working at a local shop where they carried PPI and they had to get permission from all the surrounding businesses and notify them that the BEAST/Bronco was gonna be at the shop for a day or 2 during the sale...doing DEMOS...I heard it from standing outside the truck in the drivers door-ish...loudest thing I had ever heard in my short life...even from OUTSIDE the vehicle. I think I was about 15-16yo.

Wow that is a piece of car audio history right there bro. Amazing man simply amazing to look back at how the industry has changed over the past couple of years. I mean I started back when I was in High School and until today I'am still into this. LOL.
