I have just done the big 3 with 0 gauge but i am still getting some voltage drop with heavy bass hits. I cannot get a bigger alternator than the one currently fitted to my car (BMW F30). I only ever listen to my system with the engine running so i’m not sure if a second battery or capacitor would help or cause more drain?

tonksie93 Posted September 3, 2019 Author Report Posted September 3, 2019 On some songs with really low frequencies the voltage will drop from 14.8v to 12.7v but on others it will drop into the 13’s.

tonksie93 Posted September 3, 2019 Author Report Posted September 3, 2019 I cannot upgrade my alternator, unless anyone here knows where to get one for a BMW F30? Would swapping my OEM battery for a AGM one first help with volt drop even if i only play with the engine running?

Save your money. 12.7 is battery rest, its just fine. Especially if this is at idle banging. Is the worse drop with some rev, or at idle ?
