hey folks, just curious to find out what you guys think of my setup which

im going to be installing into my 74 kombi van, will be running

- 2x MTX 81000d's roughly 3kw rms

- 2x Soundstream SPL15's in a 7cube slot ported/vent type box tuned to 40hz

- 3x optima d34's

- 1x CVR 200amp alt

any thoughts you might have on my system? would it classify as a GP? any ideas on rough DB numbers?

looking to achieve some really low low tunez/notes will is get this at all?

any opinions welcome

oh ok yeah, what do you mean by "i bet it dumps'??, any ideas of how it would go though? im yet to install it., i was thinking of enventually lowering the Hz to roughly 35Hz and maybe adding another 2x 15's, any thoughts on what i have would be great. or some suggestions to get some better results.

cheers

he means, " I bet it POUNDS", but I wouldnt consider it a groundpounder.

IMO groundpounder is any vehicle that plays music @ 150db or more.

by the way I like the woofers you choose I had excellent results with them.

yeah thought so, well i sure hope it will like i said im just about to install the gear into my van

so should find out soon how it goes, but yeah i didnt think i would quite make it, any ideas on how to make it

into a GP? music at 150db yikes that would be sweet

yeah my gear is fairly old school but is good quality gear i think quality wise,

but why do you think it cant quite be a GP? please let me know im kinda a newby at this.

That right there says why he feels it wouldn't be a ground pounder.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it'll sound good/get loud, but the chances of it musically doing 150db is pretty slim. Ground pounders are generally tuned pretty low and can do 150 in the 30-35hz range. I say double the power and subs could be a gp.

not to hate against your question, i've seen it a few times here, but why are people so concerned with being a 'groundpounder'? hell if it's loud, it's loud

etc....nothing wrong with the man wanting to get some quake into his system...

theres far worse addictions or hobbies that get the best of people..... not saying this one is bad but u get my drift....
