What's The Difference?

What is the major difference in sound between an enclosure with a single layer port and an enclosure with multiple layers of port? Is one better than the other? Is one maybe better for SPL and one for SQ?

Different subs need different enclosures, different amounts of port area and different tuning. So one sub may play much better in one and another sub would sound better in the other.

 

Enclosures should be specific to the actual subwoofers you're using, without knowing the sub being used, no one will know which would be better in your application.

If by "layers of port" you mean, the number of folds in it, that doesn't make a lot of difference. The tuning is all about the length of port to the square inches of port ratio, whether it be a long, straight port, or folded back and forth six times.

Ok I wasn't sure if it was compensating for port wank or if it was something to do with altering the sound like deeper like deeper Bass
