Would There Be A Big Difference In Sound

Recommended Posts

jesus christ with all the missinformation

an SUV with the OPEN space will be easier to get loud then your trunk car hands down

thats what I thought too, I was told there was something to do with the propagation of the wave from different lengths and in different airspace, I dunno the technical garbage, but i've always seen it as SUV's have the advantage for SPL non wall.

thanks accordman for clearing that up

i would tune it at about 35hz, gotta be careful though cause if u tune it to low it could sound like shit depending on ur subs. At least thats what i've heard.

my vote is for the suv, if you can afford to get one, you can afford the gas....the space in them is nice and roomy....they are decently easy to get loud with drawbacks, i.e. my back windows is my downfall....but im hitting 140+ on music with a shitty box and 12.5 volts full tilt....so you gotta weight it out, but my vote is for the suv, me and small cars dont get along either

i was thinking about getting a explorer 97 or newer, but i really want a 96 tahoe, id really be happy with anything thats a suv well accept for a bronco, but i hate buying something and not knowing how it was taken care of, my crown vic has only had 2 owners a 80 year old guy and me. both of us always maintain it. he took it to the dealer for everything, i do it all my self unless i dont know then i take it to the shop down the street. if i can have a dependable vehicle and still do decent with the back made into a box id rather just keep my car, i went and looked at the suv the guy wanted to trade me and that thing was a joke,no door panels no back bumper, back window was busted out  but the idiot sent me a pic of this nice ass explorer from when he first bought it. but if i can find something decent ill get it, but for now im just going to start on the crown vic.
