Best Buy Amps

Recommended Posts

I recently won a $200 best buy gift card and I would like to use it to bring an amp down to a normal price :P

This pioneer amp is the biggest they have http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1203815922943

I don't know how good this amp is so if it isn't good, are there any other downsides other than not getting rated power?

I want to put 2 lvl2's of some size on it.

bestbuy has the alpine pdx1000 amps, those are the biggest amps they have, and they are 1000watts rms, not PEAK.

I know you cant get them from the store you have to order through corperate.

imo id rather spend the extra bucks on the alpine. Even tho alpines only flaw is that its not 1ohm stable, but they are extremely efficent and put out 1000rms at either 2 or 4 ohm. Plus they are so compact and dont put off heat. Great power plants if space is limited, but a bit harder on the budget.
