2001JeepGrandCherokee Posted June 30, 2008 Author Report Posted June 30, 2008 Do a common chamber box use 2x4's to brace front to back and side to side. then use all thread to brace the top. Make the box as wide and as long as you can and at least 24" tall. There is more forgiveness in airspace with a bunch of subs. You will want to do 4 subs deep and 3 wide with the port facing up. Good luck on the build, don't listen to the don't knows. Any idea on how I can build the ports facing up and have enough space for the subs? Also how should i wire them and what amps should i use? The type r's have a 4 ohm VC, and can handle about 1500 a peice.

If you do 3 wide and 4 deep then that should give you about 8" of port face up in the back. Like this. This box is 60 x 52 x 18 Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
