Forevrbumpn Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 2 ways I dont kill router bits, and can use the same bit for about 50 holes, on just a simple 1/4" shaft straight bit 1) have an adjustable speed router- gotta find perfect speed as not to burn up the bits 2) I go down in 1/4" incriments- NOT plunge all the way instantly- 3 passes for 3/4" 4 passes for 1" I would say I can use 1 bit flawlessly thru double baffles, dadoes mdf/birch/plywood/pine for about 1 year and I cut wood ALOT, I make random shit when Iam bored just so I dont get rusty hehe also wd40 the bits if you have to when they get hot helps sometimes I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

EricR Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 well since you can do it in 1 stroke steve what does that put you at like 25-30 seconds?? i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
