Audiobahnaholic
The box with the blue ports is what you've got now. The red is the rear deck. The green is new ports from the deck down into the trunk. This would make your trunk like an enclosure. So you have an enclosure inside and enclosure. So it would be sort of a bandpass and since you have ported inside ported it would be a 6th order. From what I've read 6th orders are very very efficient, so if you could do this properly and get it tuned right you could possibly turn the amp down and help your electrical out a little by getting the same or close to the same output with less power. I told you it would be Loud lol fuck yeah it pounds man! once my electrical is stable i an turn it up. gain is just under 1/2, and i never bass boost (the remote EQ knob) past 1/2 because of electrical. i can't wait for a good 14 volts. .... when you get a chance hide all those wires yep tonight!! ill get pics of course. i just hooked it up to test it The box with the blue ports is what you've got now. David
that wouldnt work, unless he completely sealed off the entire trunk. I just got off the phone with him, he loves it, said its real low and real smooth, and gets LOUD. he is extremly happy, now if we can get his voltage issues fixxed, he wil be slammin and even more happy. I am extremly pleased he is soo happy, when my clients are happy, I am happy. I cant wait to hear it.
Bass4Lyfe
yep yep David!! You're right you did an amazing job, I'm more than happy! It's beyond the state of like feeling happy i'm just in a pleasant mood today satisfied you know? i know its just an audio setup but its my hobby and love so it's working - honeslty months of planning and SAVING just for 1 15 - its harder than it looks. wiring was like 200 bucks for example ahah thanks so much David - I'm trying to plan a trip to Steve' s house soon maybe we can all meet there and I can demo it off real fast? It moves a BUNCH of air did i mention that? after 10 minutes of having it running I like to put it near full tilt (as full tilt as i'm comfortable with because of voltage drops) and turnb your head back. feel like your getting slapped with air and the cabin is real pressurized. thanks David, and Steve, and Rusty. i'ma PM derick for some stickers ~Matthew 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6 3L (1) ScyTek Astra 4000RS-2W-1 2-Way Remote Start Alarm with Shock and Proximity (1) 20% Tint All Around (Gately Audio) (1) 250 Amperage HO Alternator (1) Big 3 Done In 1/0 (2) Kinetik HC2400 Power Cell (1) Alpine IVA-D106 Receiver (1) Peripheral Video Bypass Device (4) Alpine SPS-17C2 Speakers (1) Alpine KCE-422i iPod Control Interface (4) Sheets Dynamat Extreme; for speakers (1) 10 Square Feet Hushmat (Trunk & Rear Deck) (4) DC Audio Level 4 15" D2 Subwoofer w/ Level 5 Coils (1) Wall Built By David, Tuned to 32 Hz (1) Rockford Fosgate T40001bd Amplifier (1) Stinger 1/0 Wiring (2 runs of + 2 runs of -) (1) Stinger Volt Meter
