Mounting A Sub With Bolts.

i dont think theres enough threads on those bolts

It's a 2 inch bolt, and it's got to go through the 3/4 MDF then the sub. . . .It should be good. If not when the day comes I'll buy longer ones. :P

he was saying the thread doesnt come far enough up the bolt (i.e. you bolts are too long). the part of the bolt not threaded is probably longer than 3/4 inch plus the mounting ring on your sub. Plus you have to remember that the T-nuts are going to sink into the wood about 1/4 inch or so.

I think he is trying to say you won't really be able to tighten it, since it is only going through 3/4 mdf

But with the way i am putting the bolts through it will work because i have to go from on top the mounting ring which is about 3/4 then the wood 3/4 so 1.5 inches. Roughly lol

I went to 2 shops today. Both had some of my boys working there. And i showed them the T-nuts and the bolts and they said that is what they do to bolt in subs...

you put these in the back off the baffle

and put these bolts with a head like in like screws....

it's pretty simple your trying make something easy really hard...

I would take the bolts and washers back and get these type of bolts.... 1-1/4" long
