j_black10
For what ever reason it is very common for t2000's to have a higher 2 ohm rating then 1 ohm. It only happens on the T2000's... X2!! I remember this being discussed on the RF forum awhile back. Don't seem right, but it's true! AudioControlRockford FosgateXSPower

meade916
so basicly, you dont look at it like a bad thing the 2ohm rating is higher because NORMALLY its a 2000w amp at 1 ohm and a few hundred extra watts and less then 2,000 at 2... Now, its a few hundred extra watts at 1ohm AND 2 ohm. doesnt make sense why, but its not a bad thing now that i look at it like that. Boon
Probably just a funny (read: good) batch of MOSFETs that for whatever reason are very efficient at 2 ohms. And as for the birth sheets being calculated off the 4 ohm power, I call BFS, amps change their behaviour drastically and unpredictably as you lower the load, and it's never linear. It's never even the same curve for 2 identical amps, due to inherent little changes in the amp like component tolerances. 10.x volts fo' life! needlesnpins
i dont believe this. i could care less either way. i own a power series amp and love them..but on that note i was part of the RF forum activily for a long time and could of swore thats how snafu had explained it. still with me stating the "innacuracy" to me it was a 0-200watts off not a big deal and me not bashin RF. but none the less perfect conditions have to be obtained to get that exact wattage anyways so it really doesnt matter s long as its a close range. 12" fi Bl loaded RF power 1000 RF 25 farad cap 3SIXTY.2 processing 200A Alt 01' grand prix GT
