Sampsonite
lol. Just came apon the thread. Joe.... Was this started because of me? You were the first person I have ever heard call it a 'Figh' And I mighta looked at you a lil strange I didn't call you out on it or anything, because I didn't really know any better.. But I heard Steve Meade call it 'F-I' in a few of his videos.. So now that I know it is 'Figh' I can be prepared for some pretty stupid looks from people when refering them to teh woofazz? --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
a_plus
scott has addressed it as both.... More often as FIGH, as in hi-fi or fidelity. When bsing with him he will call it figh. as far as abbreviations are concerned, typically in life when you've got two caps in a row, it's an acronym/abbreviation for TWO words. example: RE = Resonant Engineering. When you see One cap followed by lower case letters, it's an abbreviation for a single word. Example: Fi = fidelity. [/deafytakingj00stoskool] i think this should be the end of this discussion ... cause my man got the right documentation.. Fi not FI there a dot on top the of the i... and if not wat does fi abbreviate???????????? my setup: alpine iva-w205 fosgate t30001 rf t8004 re 6x9 2 re sx 15's 4 inch fosgate fanatic q components hertz 6.5 comp kicker 1/0 wiring ipod direct connect 2 optimas batts in the middle of rebuilding
jmitch
in english class i was tought that abreviations appear to be all CAPS and looking at how Fi is spelled out ill say its 1 word 1 syllable...... figh. I know a lil about everything so dont call me Mr. Know it All.

If it were to be pronounced 'eff eye' it would be F I It's not It is Fi Note the 'i' is lower case..not separate from the F therefore it should be pronounced 'Figh' Authorized Ascendant Audio Dealer!
