trainman0978 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 I always thought the first one was cool just cause it was unlike any other car movie, even though the plot could have been a little better. the second one was just dumb. a movie riding the coat tails of its predecessor. the second one just sucked ass all the way around, with the exception of the cars of course. The third one on the other hand, it took car race scene on film to a whole new level. again, plot and character development were some what lacking, but the drifting scenes were amazing. Nothing like that since Bullitt and gone in sixty seconds ( the new one , cause it too was a remake). I actually enjoy watching tokyo drift purely for the cinematography of the car races... this one actually looks like it will be some where between the first one and the third one. Someone mentioned in another thread a while back, what is this movie gonna do for the buick grand national? I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
