Coolwazabi Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 was taking to a shop owner today and triple alts and dual alts... he had 2 alts in his avalanche and said the HP and torque was quite a bit weaker and barely could pull a boat... just wondering if this dude knows what he's talking about ?? Coolwazabi Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 idk... i think it was... 5.7??? not sure.. but he said something about a 400 small block with 4 alts was bogged down cause all the resistance of the alts... sounded weird.... he's was taking about Iraggi and his alts being good but dual alts and tri alts have weaker HP N' stuff.. jcm1689 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) i highly doubt it would effect anything that much. i hear that from alot of people that i talk to about it. but everyone i ever talked to that have done it and actually knows what there talking say it doesnt make a diff. i mean i talked to this one guy at a local show that had a silverado w/ dual alts. he said it was the alts slowing his truck down. i said or maybe its the the 20 15's in the bed along with the box that made out of 3 layers of mdf!!?!!
