Btls Are Beasts

Recommended Posts

i had 2 sundown 3000s strapped to 2 btl 18s fully loaded and set my gain with my dmm with the bass knob only half way up. :censored: so as you guess they were getting clipped pretty bad and took it for probably 30 mins on and off today before i realized what i had done and changed it back to 109.5v full tilt. im just makin this thread for everyone who had a doubt about the capabilities of btls they can really handle some abuse.

and ideally everyone should get rid of bass boost knobs

get audacity and add bass boost per song so you are adding to the actual peak only enough before clipping... not a centered guessed frequency with boost that could send the signal to clipping

and just hit pause when you see a cop?

That is the benefit of a knob, if your bumpin' hard, and need to calm it down, don't want to look so obvious, just tone it down

and bass knobs have nothing to do with frequency (well a few amps do) but just gain between the gain setting on the amp and Zero

so that you can safely turn it up and down, with out having to reset the gain on the amp all the time, or go in to deck settings, and turn the sub gain up there

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Uhh...

You do know the Sundown amps use a remote level control called for their knobs, not bass boost?
