stratusrt01
I think it was actually not wired to .25, the problem was that the RCA's weren't configured correctly for strapped mode, and made the voltage coming out of the amps extremely high. That's the story I got after it was all fixed, the .25 comment was before it was fixed, I believe. There were a few wiring difficulties that I can't even figure out..... stratusrt01
Well, I got a little work done today, got most of the woodwork done for the new enclosure, just need to tighten a few things up, and steal Meade's resin pool in the corners idea I know, I know, I need a new sawblade, but at least the cuts are straight ;D

EpicenterDesigns
May I step in and let it be know that yes, one sub was wired wrong. The positive and negative of one of the coils was mixrd up. When it was wired in series to the amps, that sub was actually wired to really low ohm after the amps were strapped so it got a tad bit hot. In the end though, it is my fault as I should have gona back and double checked everything. Dale
Stratus, I could be wrong....if I am-correct me, but is that a horn design? If so, I'm pretty sure it'll get stupid loud. I like your idea of a setup by the way. Good progress. Keep us updated man.
stratusrt01
yeah, it's an off axis rear loaded horn. The last horn I built was stupid loud for the power and the sub I was running, so this one should be near insane.
LSN2meBoom916
Yea i looked at that port for the longest time before I decided it aint my eyes, it's just an oddball setup. Not that oddball aint GOOD, somebody gotta take the first steps to break new ground but I never encountered a port that starts out one size and changes throughout-other than a horn shaped port. Hope it sounds good, & nice work too.Box is gettin there. EpicenterDesigns
Everyone makes mistakes...no biggie. Not like everyone was flaming you for it. Just wanted to clear it up here. I have seen several reason being said on various forums. And since I have been meaning to join this forum for along time, I figured kill both at once. Anyways, that amps are nice, and the box/build is looking good.
