I've never ran a sub off 1 coil so i have no idea what its going to do so i wont recommend or tell you not to do that as i honestly dont know what the problems are that you may walk into. my thoughts are either fully recone it now and run it some more or replace it. You got realy lucky imo, as 2 of the XXX that same thing happened with burnt the truck down with them. so imo your burnt spider ..id be thanking my lucky stars. i'll see if i can get some pics of the aftermath of one of them form another site
David Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 drew if I had the cash Id buy it off ya, it would make one hell of a home theater sub. oh also I wouldnt risk your amp or your car running just one coil, scrape your pennies together and save up and either recone the sub and use it or recone it and sell it or sell it blown for way less than you have into it.
