i have not yet gotten a response from the seller because i pulled it out of the box literally 5min before posting and he has not been online yet. until i have talked to the seller and come to a conclusion as to what to do now i would not like to publicly announce the seller because of the possible damage to his rep before i deem necessary.

i'm leaning towards a refund, but awaiting the response.

yeah i'm 15min from Vallejo, 60min from Stockton.

That amp would be shaweet for 1$ but if i get the 210$ back i don't want the Hifonics, been there done that and would like something a bit more solid, even if i have to save. (which i'd have to do either way)

>_<

The PCB board damage around the FETs does concern me.

I was thinking the same thing.

You can blow a amp and have it repaired and have it run as good if not better then new depending on the replacement parts.

The problem comes to when your melt the pcb or damage it upon removing old mosfets.

Most repair shops wouldnt really touch that, or fix it. They would just tell the owner its unfixable and offer to scrap it out for parts, or send it back to owner.

That amp is NOT reliable at all. I wouldnt run it on any speaker you own. The pc boards are not that thick, and it looks like it was damaged during taking out or putting in the new mosfets. With that being said the fets will not have a good hold in the board, and one good bump in the road may take that amp out. It looks like CIA Engineering repair job (only they just didnt break off the old mosfets and solder new mosfets to the old mosfet legs).

If you bought it and the origional seller sold it without telling you it was repaired and what not, Id demand my money back and have him pay return shipping.
