THAT IS TRUE SUB PORN...got some sexy movement and a squirter spewsmiley.gif
Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move. :D

There is no way he could fit a PT specific air intake (Airaid, Volant, K&N) with that second battery there.

Hah, as a matter of fact I did buy it off of eBay a couple years ago. It was listed as a K&N and it took me until now to find that space. The inside of the hood is actually very flexible! It fits snugly, yet safely.

Ok, the box is done! This thing is massive.

I actually had a slight problem getting it into the car and had to remove the "top" piece and force it in, but the integrity was not comprimised and I fiberglassed over the top to refresh the strength. This box is solid! Here is the build progress:

Posted Image

This is the subs and amps that are going in. All MOJO baby!

Posted Image

Lots of 1/0 wire. (This is not all of it.) ;)

Posted Image

I used a template to see if I could actually fit it into the car and it checked out. Maybe my method should have been a little different though since I had a slight size issue later..

Posted Image

Another template. My goal was to have a 10" wide port and maybe I could have pulled it off, but for structural reasons I went with 8.5. I wanted to tune to 51.5hZ since thats my peak where my box sits, but I'll settle for a little lower.

Posted Image

Here is the box fully assembled with all four subs and the port painted. It was so friggin heavy!

Posted Image

Here it is placed in the car. I had to move my wires all around and pull out the carpet in the back again for it to fit. It takes up the entire space it was alloted.

Posted Image

Here's the amp placement.

Posted Image

And now here's where I sit. My 4-channel is running for music, but I refuse to turn on the 4KWs until I get the right batteries. The last thing I need is for these to blow or my car to crap out haha.

I think all I have left is final tuning and installation. I'll get more pics and is completes! Waiting on batteries now...

Actually yes, I will be selling them. Probably 150 a pop plus shipping. They are the D34s with the side posts and they are brand new. Lemme know!

I will have to wait til I get home to see pics, firewall at work!

Don't worry, I had to kick mine a few times with my good foot and curse at it some more, just to get it in the car. People don't understand how the back of a PT curves back down at the top of the hatch!

I can't wait to see how this turns out. :shok:

I am surprised you didn't squash that filter when you close the hood! I had to switch to a factory turbo PT airbox lid just to get a single Kinetik in there!
