Ive heard a dozen or so installs with those and none have impressed me, whether its ported or sealed, it really just sounds like CVR's in volume and quality, sure someone will bash for that, but im convinced. type r's, everyone and their grandmother has them. Nothing amazing about them, but by far the best option you have there l7's are basically just an l5 with a different shade of black cone. bman8891 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 You would be much better off getting 1 decent sub in a properly ported box than either of those. I had two 15" rockford P2's on two crossfire 600d's doing a 134; swapped the subs for 1 15" DD3515, same amps, and hit a 145. If it's in your budget check into DD, Fi, RE, DC Sound Lab, Ascendant Audio. If your married to Alpine or Kicker, go withe the L7's but there's alot better subs you can get out there for the price.
