Eclipsebooom Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 ok so today i was messin around with my system started playin music and noticed it wasnt as loud as usual i turned it off and looked at it i noticed on of the negative wires had come out which means i was playing one speaker at 600watts for about 5 or 6 seconds there peak is 500 =/ and now i have the wires back in and everything but now the speaker that was hooked up isnt playing is it blown? =/ i mean it was only on for like 5 or 6 seconds i checked the wires to the speaker and found nothing wrong i havent looked at the ones inside yet but i dont think they couldve came undone? but please please help me :[ ASAP please Quote Alpine CDA-9886 2x DC lvl4 15s SoundStream PCA2000D 6 cubic feet tuned 32hz Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. cunokyle Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 O I Cthanks guys... Your best bet will be to check ALL of the wiring. You will prolly want to disconnect your amps/speakers, then reconnect them all. Just to double check everything. Sometimes it is easy to mess up when in a hurry to fix something...even if it seems trivial. I doubt you have fried a speaker by giving it a bit too much power.
