oh wow, never knew that the coil option would bring them that high. I'm leaning towards the Fi's, im just hesitant because i've sent countless e-mails to them and only one response from the first one.

i know how it feels to jump on the boat and go with what everyone else is going with but it's okay to go with something different every now and then.

I would say with the cubic feet you have, the HCCA will be your best bet

The xmax isnt something you should really be worried about unless you go sealed, because ported, when hitting peak resonance or SPL, they move the least amount- its just pressure built up inside the box, vibrating air from the port

From what I hear, BTLs play best in about 6cf for just 1-15"

I would say if you just want 1 sub, go with 1-BTL 15

if you want 2 subs, go with the 2 HCCAs

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

based on Orion's website, the HCCAs need 3.5 cubic feet per sub, whereas the Fi site says that each BTL needs 3 cubic feet. Should i just say screw it and go with 1 18 BTL? lol can those get loud if i want to crank it all day long off a T20001BD or would it be better to go with a T40001BD for that kind of sub? lol

the t2k u could put on it and bang it ALL day long, but that t4k would get that sub hot pretty quick....go with the t4k if ur doin 2 subs, but not on 1

I will put my Two 2008 BTL 18's vs the ORIONS

everyday of the week.

My stats speak for themselves. 152.3 on music, box is tuned to 31, RF T3000 on each with 4 kinetic 2400's powering them + 165 amp alternator in front.

Get the BTL's and MAKE SURE you can power thwem properly. 2500 watts EACH MINIMUM.

all those tests were not even apples to apples comparison. only one close was the solo x.

so it seems like everybody's leaning towards the Fi's...so i guess my decision on that is made...now do you think i could fit 2 15" BTLs or 1 18" BTL in my hatch?

dimensions of my hatch:

height - 20"

width - 39"

depth - 19"

what do you guys think would be the best route to take?

With ports you'll never get enough air space for 2 15's in there. I'd say with that much room go for two twelves.
