~digital~bass~
whatever. get blasted in the stomach then talk to me. Dont get your panties in a bunch. Does getting a kickback onto your finger and having it split open and your nail come off and having to get rushed to the ER after 6 hrs of constant bleeding and having to get multiple shots in your finger and breaking your finger in 2 different places dount? If so here I am talking to you. Edited October 21, 2008 by ~digital~bass~ Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!!
~digital~bass~
Ive always had problems with my gaurd and the horrible splitter that would always somehow grab my wood and make it that much harder to guide though. rollin
there are pros and consSome set up designs are better. Like the safety speed cut saw, and a few other high end models use a really nice guard that slits the wood apart with less kick back, and of course those little teeth on the guard PREVENT the wood from kicking back at you its there for a reason Its definitely EASIER to use a table saw with no guard, but when that wood kicks back at you, because the blade is over heating, or dull, or your going to slow, it hurts when it flings back and hits you in the gut, or even worse I have no problem with mine it works great....on another point I used to feel like you do about the guards until I saw with my own eyes a guy on a job site cut his fucking fingers off....then at that point the saw kicked back and he had a piece of teak sticking out of his gut. Off to the hospital for him...so I'll learn to live with a guard..$.02 The only way to get smarter is by playing a smarter opponent..

Haha I had to chime in with my little story. I believe the best things gaurds will go is keep you from getting something chopping off. It only has clearance the thickness of the wood and not an open spinning blade without a gaurd. Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!! Airborne
Franky Pacheco cut a couple fingers off on a table saw when I was a softmore. I am now 31yo and still use the guard. Fuck looking cool.
The Performer
My take, Guard = Just another gimmick to get in the way or break. (In other words, just another hassle.) CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything. Just because a prostitute isn't new at what she does, doesn't change the fact that she still 'sucks' Click to see my build!
