Charger Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Looks like the sub had loading problems, or has tried to play too low in a box that simply won't let it. If that kept happening I'd definitely go composite cone. I threw absolutely anything into my 9915s and they laughed at it. The cone is very strong and light on the 9900 series. Ive ran them since 2000 and they have never let me down, Ive tried other high end subs in the same setups but none compared to the 99/95s imo. Right now I run 2 t4000s on 2 9515gs in my 96 Impala and I beat the shit out of them and I have no problems. I own alot of other subs but Ill always have DD in 2 of my vehicles no matter what. DD will mosdef be in my future setups then. i just didnt want to get ripped off because i know the owner is a huge asshole and rush's you to make a purchase and stuff. And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.

automediapro Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 DD is one of the best woofers I ever installed, owned, or sold. . They are clean . .not just SPL .. It's all about the box. ( like anything else) Even the 500 series is KILLER! The 2500 series is about all anyone would ever need daily. . and the 3500's beat the wheels off of a lot of other brands top end drivers. . The 9500's are just sick .. And, we all know that Alan Dante is in the 180's with only two of the Z series woofers. 179 or so with just one last year I think ..
