philip
this is how i figure it out. if my port is 3", i cut one side at 45 wide. do like above and set your guide to 2". you will end up with roughly a 3" wide 45. assuming you already 45'ed the port wall and there you go, width is basically even through the port turn. numatik
when I do my 45s I always use the clamp and straight edge method using my skillsaw. pushing boards that small through the saw are frightening! any tips on how to throw it through a tablesaw without a kickback? maybe im just bad with pushsticks, anybody else have this problem? slugdub
should you 45 corners in a sealed box? or would it make a difference? im talking rectangle reg sealed box. Uh, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. But I doubt it would make any difference. The whole idea is to keep all that wind guessing when its being forced out. Kind of like building a castle with fake stairs to fool ghosts. Or maybe its more like Feng shui for your sound waves

I think fill would help more in a sealed box app than 45ing the corners but then again it would help seal the box more. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
