Hmmmm.... What about putting two 3000's on the CNS?

Did not try it - but I'd expect it to be pretty loud.

If you recall it did 149.5 with on 3000D @ 1 ohm in the Jeep :)

I have two 3000s @ 1/2 ohm each now.

I thought it was a 3000 at .5 ohms on the CNS. The CNS is D1 right?

If you did two 3000's on the CNS they would be at 1 ohm each.

Now that I think about it the CNS is D1 - you are right.

I think it would catch up with another 3000D :) It would certainly be much less prone to damage from over-powering as it is a larger coil than the stock Nightshade too.

Really don't know... alot better these days as I have an Excessive Amperage 225-amp alternator now, whereas I had a stock alternator when testing the Monster sub.

My factory gauge is wildly inaccurate and I have not put a DMM on the bank while burping yet.

very nice results.

Question.

Whats with the 3 spiders? I think I read some fi's have 4 and such. I tore apart one of my subs before recone and I counted 8 (now up to 10 on my new recones).

So whats up with the spiders that your using, and so few of. It maybe under lock and key, but Im just curious.

What grade are your spiders? I know the stock Nightshades use 3 hard spiders. Mine that have been upgraded are 2 hard and 2 medium. I've heard of some team members having as many as 5 but I'm not sure of the stiffness of them.

You have DD, right ? They use a BUNCH of very soft spiders.

Fi / RE spiders are a bit softer than mine for each spider - our 3 hard spiders is similar in compliance to their 4 hard spiders.

The stiffest we make is 3 hard / 2 medium spiders and it is incredibly stiff.
