sundownz
Hmmmm.... What about putting two 3000's on the CNS? Did not try it - but I'd expect it to be pretty loud. If you recall it did 149.5 with on 3000D @ 1 ohm in the Jeep I have two 3000s @ 1/2 ohm each now. I think it would catch up with another 3000D It would certainly be much less prone to damage from over-powering as it is a larger coil than the stock Nightshade too. sundownz
what's your voltage looking like while burping?? Really don't know... alot better these days as I have an Excessive Amperage 225-amp alternator now, whereas I had a stock alternator when testing the Monster sub. My factory gauge is wildly inaccurate and I have not put a DMM on the bank while burping yet. audiofanaticz
very nice results. Question. Whats with the 3 spiders? I think I read some fi's have 4 and such. I tore apart one of my subs before recone and I counted 8 (now up to 10 on my new recones). So whats up with the spiders that your using, and so few of. It maybe under lock and key, but Im just curious. Edited November 12, 2008 by Bangin Caddy

I've heard of some team members having as many as 5 but I'm not sure of the stiffness of them. Fi / RE spiders are a bit softer than mine for each spider - our 3 hard spiders is similar in compliance to their 4 hard spiders. The stiffest we make is 3 hard / 2 medium spiders and it is incredibly stiff. My 18s have 5 spiders (3 hard & 2 medium) and they are stiff. Considering I'm gonna be Bass Racing with 4k+watts into each they need it.
