If your port is X numbers wide, and you make a bend the port should still be X wide, not narrower or wider. Being that its a single port that splits into 2 for each chamber of the box the width from the back wall of the box and the bent port should be half as wide as the larger single port. It may just be the angle of the picture. however if its smaller along the back it will mess with tuning, may cause port noise, and hurt numbers.

Its just the camera angel that makes it look narrower Edit: As for the V or a seperator in the middle, wont really effect much, not really needed, tho it help to stiffen up the box more. As long as both subs are firing, the air pressure from chamber 1 will not blow into or effect chamber 2. In old test boxes I have made a long time ago, for my l7s it didnt change meter scores a tad.

I looked at it and said to myself there's no way that the port wall is far enough away from the back wall of the box.
