I couldn't tell anyway. Firefox's rendering makes that thing JUMP! To be honest, while I was posting, I was looking in the picture, but didn't make the connection between avi and avatar, even when I use that abbreviation myself. Anyway, virtually anything is going to be an upgrade from what I have. Laptop speakers suck. I figure while I'm already upgrading (and I have the money) I may as well go as big as my budget will allow me. I bought these about 4 days ago and boy I love them. I can't be sure without hearing them myself, but that is just my conclusion from hearing people say that the ALs are nicely balanced, but the Logitechs have overbearing bass. Gets very loud and bass hits pretty hard for a ~100 watt sub, ive had mine for about 2 years and have had nothing bad to say about this great speaker system, except that my volume knob now makes static every time i turn it, but i can live with that since it doesn't affect its playing ability. Also one more thing to take into consideration is sound cards, you cant really expect much from your mother board sound card no matter what speakers you end up getting so investing in a 20-40 dollar sound card would be a good idea for you if thats in your budget. im running the Creative labs sound blaster XFi and i love it, it made everything sound 10x better, but i dont think you wanna spend that much on a sound card.
