finkster
You are very lucky the insides of that battery held up. The only thing i can think of is that you drained your battery dry somehow. A dead battery can go into an internal short circuit, and that built up gas goes BOOM... The same thing can happen with overcharging. Specifically because a shit ton of hydrogen is generated. BOOM again... jack
i sae mention of "quick charging" please define...those batteries are designed to accept a charge rate of 14-15 volts. a traditional boost box wont regulate its output and can exceed voltage quickly even at a 50amp charge rate i have seen a sears charger putting out 16 volts and at 200 amp charge have seen 18-19 volts. with kenetics you need a smart charger so it doesnt go over http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=29213 "sleeper build" (1) DC AUDIO Level4XL 10 (2) PowermasterD2700 batteries ALL FOR SALE TEAM DC AUDIO TEAM DIRTFLOORPOOR

bobonit
We had a battery backup in one of our remote wiring/network switch closets where the ac unit died. It got to hot in the room and we lost 2 of the batteries in the unit. They didn't look that bad but they were swelled up enough that we needed a crowbar and a couple of screwdrivers to slide those bitches out. Could there be a heat buildup where those 2 cells were mounted? 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
