finkster
My mom just got a nice 42" Vizio from walmart for like 700 bucks, 1080p LCD, the picture looks amazing espeacially with the blue ray. And ive always herd that if you like to play video games to not get a plasma, that the HUD on the game like on a racing game etc the spedomoter or whatever will burn the image into the screen and theres no way to get rid of it. My sister has the 50" model of a vizio, and it looked meh to me....Although she had comcast cable that was "supposed" to be in HD...I have not seen it in Blu Ray though so my opinion is a bit biased. Dr. Johnson
I have a 50" panasonic plasma and we have it in our living room not too far from windows and we have 0 glare from the windows. That is a feature that I liked about it. The balcks are way deeper than lcd's that we looked at and the price was right at the time we were looking. I love the look of plasma. the best part of tv shopping is the shopping. Have fun.

*1LOWSUV*
I didn't know until recently that Phillips and Magnavox are the same thing. I have the 47" Magnavox that is identical to the Phillips you have linked but I paid $750 from Target last month for it.. Its a great TV, clear ass picture and killer sound. Only problem is I bought a "Phillips" Upscaling DVD player/home theater system and when you hit the power for the TV (Magnavox) it turns on the DVD player...So I kinda found out the hard way they are one in the same. So now I have the DVD player on remote power so it doesn't come on until I need it. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif [email protected]
