Red-navi-916 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Share Posted February 8, 2009 I already have an aftermarket alarm on my car. but i was wondering would i be able to get a new remote one thats updated like with screen and beeper on it in case my alarm goes off... or do i have to buy a new alarm? fyi. my current remote is just a black square with 4 buttons. ptcary Posted February 8, 2009 Report Share Posted February 8, 2009 I think DEI makes an add on pager, but no screen or anything, just beeps when the alarm goes off. If you are already planning on a new alarm, then you can get what you want....screen/pager remote. The alarms with pagers are two way alarm brains, they have to send and receive info to/from the remote. They are a different brain from a regular alarm.
