started on this bitch today. Its big ..... couldnt find my camera though. gonna have to buy more wood though .... 2 sheets FTL! got 3/4 of my 2nd sheet left and i gotta cut the face, top, back, and everything else lol.

gonna be glassing some of the inside to where the "weaker" spots are.

turned out ALOT BIGGER then anticipated. around 25 cubes before displacements. So i think im gonna tun a bit higher to keep from hurting my woofers.

How many subs?

If you tune low but decrease the box size you can play under tuning better because the smaller amount of air in the box will help to prevent the woofers from unloading, lets you tune to high 30's and still play down low.

My daily box (1x9515 in ~3 cubes) was tuned to about 42hz but still played down to 29hz with authority.

3 18's ..... gotta double/triple all the sides ..... so my volume will probably decrease substantially.

i wouldnt tune under 32-33 EVER for a daily driver no matter what size sub/which sub im running

I have an Orion HCCA 12.2, which fs is 22 hz, so even in i tune the box to 38hz

I really depends on your subs fs, qts, vehicle resonance, and box tuning....

For example I'm tuned to 31hz. I have two 15s thats fs is 22hz.....yet me lows (20-33hz) isn't near as loud as my higher bass (35hz-50hz)....that because my vehicle resonance is much higher than my tuning....

so what some of you are saying is that i can tune my box a little higher, but still play to my subs Fs and be safe and not hurt the woofers as long as they arent clipping?

the Fs of the subs im thinking of getting is 27 hz, came into a little money today made a few phone calls and am waiting on word back :/

If you still want to be loud to the ear and on the meter then 37hz is the tuning for you. If you tune there you'll probably peak anywhere from 42-47hz, but still be able to play down to 30hz as well. You honestly don't need to be able to play below 30hz at all even if all you listen to is screwed music. Even 32hz is extremely low and will hurt you output wise. Your better off keeping it in the mid to upper 30's for the best of both worlds.
