that has absolutely NOTHING to do with selling a car.. at all.. im not one of those "sleeze balls" thats going to sell something to make a quick buck.. i want my customers to be happy and safe driving home.. but hey if you wanna discriminate on age then go right ahead see how far that gets ya in todays world soon us young kids will be all thats left and remembering all the older people that treated us like shit and didnt trust us with shit..

and steve they dont have automatic v's because the v's have way to much power and would drop torque converters like crazy. its not even that safe to add more power to the cts just for that reason.. and steve check cars.com to get ideas of what your looking for exactly even if ya did want a v there are a few on there for 30s

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

Steve,

If I could make one huge suggestion FWIW that helped the wife and I get our cars....call AAA Fleet sales and see if they can't find you what you want at a damn good price (and no you don't have to be an AAA member to take advantage of their services).

When we called them and told them what we wanted (about a 15 minute conversation), they found the cars, with the options that we wanted, told us what their price was (about $6000 less than the dealer price). There was absolutely 0 haggling, no salesmen to deal with...NADA. The next day, he had us qualified and had the cars on his lot. We rolled up, spent 10 minutes signing paperwork and left with the cars.

NO JOKE, the whole deal was less than 1 hour at a much better cheaper price than any local car lot can do, and we visited 3 other dealers beforehand. I will NEVER step foot on another car lot again. AAA Fleet sales always for me from now on.

Kev

I know im only 19, but my Aunt did this same thing but with our insurance company (USAA). She was buying a new escalade, and the dealerships in town (Reno) at first werent going to give her the amount she was asking for. She called the insurance company and they found something at the price she was looking for but a couple hours away. She went back to the dealership who wouldnt give her the price, and told them theres another dealership thats going to give it to her at that price. So the dealership called the other one to varify they were going to do it, and when they found out they were, the dealership in reno ended up giving it to her at the price she asked.

so with reading both these stories id say at least give it a try. whouldnt hurt

thanks man!

oh and from my experience yesterday.......as bad as things are for those motherFu#ckers, you would think they are just handing cars out like candy - hell no, im makin good money, good enough to get almost anything i want really (at the caddy dealer), and i still dont get the feeling any of them are going to bend over backwards to get me what i want. Maybe its because i have 2 car loans going already i dont know. The Hoe is almost paid off, maybe ill finish that and try again.

I'll bend over backwards to sell you this CTS out here Steve! :clapping:

what would be funny is if the 17yr old knew more than you. dont let the age fool you i know a kid that will run circles around most people on here when it comes to cars. he rebuild and installed a engine at 12 for my brothers 64 impala ss and today its still running strong. he works on topnotch cars now. but hey this is steves thread. good luck on finding a car.

lol

yea when it comes to cars

age aint really a factor imo

cause you could have a dad who taught you everything

and u know how to build a car at age 10

you may think it doesnt but it does. You arent even considered responsible enough to make your own decisions. hell you still need mommy or daddys to sign a permission slip to go on field trips. Do I really want a kid who is studying for his algebra test to really conduct my business with my finances? not a damn chance. I want the guy whos been selling cars for years to do it. The guy that understands what its like to pay a mortgage and put food on the table. I know damn well i'm not the only one. You make me laugh though. I was once a young 17 yr old kid who said the same thing. Guess what happened? That kid grew up and realized what those adults realized then. Now I'm 27 yrs old. Own a house and a car and have an incredible wife. Not to mention I damn near make 100k a yr. You're right. I wont make it very far in life like that.
