slugdub
1.2 ohm? How does that work out? Seems like your choices of amp might be limited. Would be very weird to get a non-Lanzar amp workin them.

Forevrbumpn
1.2 ohm? How does that work out? Seems like your choices of amp might be limited. Would be very weird to get a non-Lanzar amp workin them. The impedance varies while in use, just at DC tested its 1.2 ohms, if you check any 4ohm sub that says 4ohms, its more than likely 3.4-3.8ohms, and while in a box, playing music, it can go from its DC load, all the way up to 50, 60, 80 ohms, depending on the box, the frequency, and how the subwoofer is built. In a real world of course you would want to keep impedance down, for more power, so to keep it below 40, 30ohms is key So, the sub being 1.2ohms, just means a good 1ohm per channel or 0.5ohm amp, or 2ohms depending how its wired will work best. That new Lanzar is definitely nice, looks like they ballsed up and got a good manufacturer to build these... The cone is kinda wack, that glossy paper can peal off the pulp paper pretty easy Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
