BobbyG2
My friend bought a Dayton Classic 15" Subwoofer and since he couldn't afford MDF, he just used a cardboard box. "Viva" larger box with bracing upgrade. And now, the MDF Project Log: This is our first project, so don't expect professional results from this. Heck, we don't even have a router, and had to use a jigsaw! xD We forgot my camera, so we were at this point in the build when we were able to take pics: (the fan was actually spinning when I took this shot. Fast shutter speed FTW!) Lamp so we can see while we glue. Sub and Port. Sub and port and front of box. More pictures to come. raytard
i have that same jigsaw, dont use it for long or itll really fudge up your hands, those squishy things just tear skin off and take some time with your holes, i know it wont be seen but you can atleast make em close to round looks good, and much better than cardboard Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
BobbyG2
Just a quick video. Was testing out my camera to see if you can see anything. Beware, though, if you're offended by language, I use the "A-Word" and "G-word" a few times, to describe my friend. http://img531.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m...46494161oy8.flv It's pretty funny how I ran out of memory right as my friend was about to retaliate against my words. BobbyG2
Sub is done, all that we need to do is coat it with bed-liner, but we wont do that till a later date, too lazy. Still playing full-range with an old Yamaha Stereo Receiver... Gorilla Glue Applied... Weight added... Maybe this much weight? All or nothing... 2 hours later... Friend Nelson screwing on the bottom piece. Back piece screwed/glued on. Nelson decided to move into his new home... I'm the black one on the right... More pics in a couple seconds... BobbyG2
Any vids with the cardboard enclosures? That woulda been funny to watch... Nah, we didn't think to take any vids of it in the carboard box... Whats up with the box in this pic? was that on purpose or did you just mess up some measurements. Lol, we broke one of the pieces when we were building the box, so we tossed on one of those pieces instead, and the measurments were off so it turned out weird. the excess was cut off though.
