Boon
seems high scores for Term Lab, what meter? I agree, gotta be Kick/vented scores, AFAIK St.C World record is less than that. 10.x volts fo' life!
HHR Ed
I agree, gotta be Kick/vented scores, AFAIK St.C World record is less than that. Yeah that would even be louder than a Panda. But like I said, the loudest CRX in the world is Terry Brocks doing just over 159s. 160 has not yet been broken in a CRX in an official event, with a TL, sealed up on the dash. Those scores dont seem legit especially since Solo Xs and CVXs arent that loud. And 4 12s cant all face forward in a CRX. Trix
CRX is the best car in the US for SPL without a wall. So far the loudest ever is Terry Brocks going just past the 159 dB mark. If you want to do 160s, your gonna have to do a car with a wall, or a Dodge caravan or Chevy Astro Van with a very good No wall design and tons of power. Its alot of work to do 160s. x2 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif TEAM ELEVATION AUDIO BassRace 140.0-149.9 My Ride
jmanjr82
true statement on the dash scores, 160+ has been done time and time again in the kick, does a crx like it HELL NO, does the windshield seal tear up in the top middle hell yes, will you lose score when that happens HELL yes. hands down to terry brock, I never saw him do that score, but I knew he did 157s....I know a new design that has been the loudest thus far tested vs the others mentioned, so obviously Im not going to speak on that, but if you do more research you can find out more of whats going to be loud. Box design depends on the amount of woofers and there size to be honest. if you go with 4-12s, subs up port back has been the loudest. Just an FYI 4inch and 6inch aeros only seem to work in some crxs which depends on there make....si crxs are a bit different then the dx etc...so as stated before..its a test and test and test issue with the crx to get it right in yours....because it works in terry brocks doesnt mean it will work in yours......nuff said

just1moreamp
i have my eye on a [crx-si] and i am thinking about doing like-8--cvx10''subs on 4--ia-20.1 amps and some batcap's for the street doing a sealed box and maybe like 8--6.5comp's on a old -rf-power-650--and let it eat

That's SS1-2NW though, props on a crazy score but it hasn't been done in regular street yet has it? Or maybe Terry Brocks has touched 160 now, I'm not 100% sure. 10.x volts fo' life! Twisted Image
The guy talking about a 162.2 in a crx was done by matt sibley in 2006-2007 in usaci. It was 4 12's and yes it was forward fire, he got very very very creative. it was outlaw, and I dont remember what it did legal. www.batteriesareus.com Home of Audioforce and The V Batteries USACI Credentials 2009 0-1000 Trunk World Record 154.0db 2009 1001+ Trunk World Record 153.2db 2007 1801-3000 Pro Stock World Champion 2007 1801-3000 Pro Stock World Record 2006 1001-5000 Pro Stock 2nd Place
