Bumpindemlowzz
Im about to get my build going and i need to know if anyone found a really good but cheap sound deadening material? I Need to do the trunk, headliner, floor, firewall, and also the hood. If its not good with heat then i dont have to do hood. I know its a hard question to answer but how much would i need to do a 2000 cavalier coupe? HHR Ed
I like the second skin Damplifier Pro. Is works best with heat because it doesnt soften and peel off. Also, there are score lines in the foil backing that allows air bubbles to escape when being applied, assuring that it adheres to the sheet metal properly. Using peel and seal or cheap deadener will almost certainly make sure it peels off in the summer. Second Skin is better but less expensive than Dynamat. They also make a sludge that works pretty good. www.seconskinaudio.com Quote Ed Lester ShowtimeSPL Host Showtime Electronics Video MarketingMy old Build Loghttp://www.stevemead...08/#entry511451http://www.youtube.com/showtimespl 5 time dB Drag Finalist Last ride 2007 HHR, current dB 153.5 and bass race 149.4 dB. 153.0 dB on music New Ride, 2008 HHR SS. b_smiff
I used Dynamat, HOWEVER, I also used the rubberized Spray from walmart. It's like $1.99 a can. Another little trick is Campers tape, It's sold at auto zone and it'll seal ur car up real good, just go around the doors/windows where it meets the weather stripping. EDIT: sonicelectronix.com Is where I get my dynamat is actually pretty cheap. Dr. Johnson
Edead is NOT a good find. It sucks. Second Skin just came out with a third line of Deadner that is for "inexpensive" needs. I would defiantly buy it.
sundownz
Second Skin Damplifier Pro - use less of it than a cheaper product and get better results for same cost.
