What would be excellent speakers in terms for definition in mid-range. i.e. voice clarity and depth.

Currently have 4x Hertz HCX 5-1/4"s for highs and mid range.

Just need something with better response at lower frequency's.

75RMS+ power handling too

Stick with Hertz?

I heard a pair of Seas Lotus Reference mids the other day and they were very very impressive.

Too Much Stuff to list .

Hertz! over everyone that was listed hands down.

I have had some very good results from the 51/4 high energy midbass's in all the Porsche's I do. If you need more step up to the 6 1/2's

Yes DD does and they just came out with a 5 1/4" high end driver too. I don't think they have that special low note you are looking for though. I've never heard Hertz but Rainbow is excellent. I would really push going for a larger driver though. I'd say 6.5-7" would be perfect. Rainbow or Dynaudio FTW.
