javy101
I have never seen a code that turns the engine light on due to a leak in gas. There are evap codes (as stated above by someone). if it is an evap code it wont be that much money, at our shop we charge 40 dollars to put our tester on which will tell us where its leaking. then after that depending on whats leaking( could be hose, gas cap ....) you just replace whatever is leaking and your good to go
Blue_C1500
Gas cap will only cause a evap leak code.. If it's a big leak, like if it's cross threaded it will cause a flashing ses light. drew028
if gas is leaking it doesnt take a genius to look under the car and follow the gas lines and look for gas. Or to look under the hood and smell gas....
Twigz
Ok, so my question is where can I have this fixed? should I take it to the dealer? or should I go to a car shop? Quote Fear The Quack! Shot at 2007-08-

n8ball2013
take it to the damn dealership. if you bought it there you have a warranty. it should be fixed for free. As for you having an aftermarket all and batt. look up the moss magnuson act. pretty much they are going to have to find irrefutable evidence that your aftermarket modifications caused your issue. It will not void your warranty. i took my car in with a full wall 6000 watts of amps and aftermarket batts alts and rims.
