7000watts is too much for daily...i believe steve had about 4000watts per sub when he had his mt's, and i think he smoked a few subs (not sure if it was b/c the wattage or some other defect)..but i wouldnt even think of putting 7000watts on each mt for daily.

but i think u can imaging that im not 24/7 playing max volume cause when im playing while driving i always play low volume only on meetings couple of times a lil louder

and i heard here in this forum many times the mt's just awake with 3500 watts

port area im not too sure on, I think you increase port area to allow air to escape quicker, thats why it larger port areas work better in spl.

aero ports are the real deal. I paid about $50 for the ports for my box and it's worth every penny. It is a different kind of sound..... more impact, sharper compared to my old slot port - and it's clearly louder or the same as port, i think it's a lot louder, but who knows - what sounds loud isn't always what is loud on a meter

the reason its louder is because it is more than likely tuned closer to your cars resonant frequency. I guarantee you that if you have a slot port and an aero port with the same area and exact same smoothness, they will sound identical

its flared. thats why it hit harder than your slot port.
