Hotdog Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Ok I have 2 Punch Power DVC 15" Subs that I just got and they came in a sealed box. now I know that Ported boxes get louder then sealed boxes but the question is... assuming that both are being powered by a T10001bd and the subs are wired to 1ohm.. amp is rated at 1000+ watts at 1ohm How much more will the Ported box get on the TL meter then the Sealed box? My ported box with 12's in it is tuned at 33hz and when I had it metered it peaked at 48hz... So I assume that my vehicle's Resonant frequency is 48hz is that correct? So I assume that my vehicle's Resonant frequency is 48hz is that correct? as long as you had doors / windows sealed up and there was no crazy amount of bass boost or equalization anywhere than that will be your resonant frequency. Just play test tones, and the highest db you get on freq.?? is the fs from your car. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
